This hotel was of very good quality, highly attractive with its' haveli type appearance and architecture, in a reasonably quiet location of the city, beautifully decorated and furnished throughout, with very high level of service, good food and a lovely roof top restaurant, and a dining/breakfast room on the same level. The inclusive breakfast was by far the best quality we found anywhere, and was presented with excellent service. Hot water which seems to be problem with many hotels was not her.

The rooftop restauraunt provided lovely food in a relaxing surroundings and our stay was perfect in every way. We had a package which included a driver for the day and he was verey useful in describing the location and providing transport to some of the more remote sights. I would highly recommend the hotel for anyone visiting Jaipur. Loved the architecture and heritage style rooms. Sunset from the roof terrace was so beautiful. The staff were very friendly, efficient & helpful, and arranged transport from rail station [for free] and to airport [at very reasonable rate]. The swimming pool was beautiful. The rooms were designed well keeping the tradition and ethnic design of Rajasthan in mind. Nothing. About the only thing that was not perfect was the hot water! It took a long time for the hot water to flow in shower [much quicker in hand basin]. 1.the door is a little small. A staff knocked on the door to serve a jug of water past 11pm - I was already in bed. While it was a nice gesture, it was inconvenient for me to get out of bed to answer the door. Terrible noise of kitchen and restaurant above our suite - it's recommended to ask a silent room before check-in. Internet system of a new username and password for each person every day was ridiculous. Laundry service not recommended. Location - difficult to find, and not near shops, restaurants or historical sites. Bedrooms and public rooms not equipped to deal with cold weather. Location a little away from things. Wifi. You are thrown out the system every few hours, need a new password every twelf hours. Ridiculous system. The owner is probably a retired general with a conspiracy complex. there ıs free wifi however you can not use ıt effıcıently. Wifi was slow. Roads of Jaipur ... but your hotel has nothing to do with it. restaurant staff was all about the money, not really a relax atmosphere. none. A/C was noisy. When we check out , front desk man called for the taxi and wanted 400rupee for 1km distance from hotel do train station. We argue with him that we paid 50rupee for that distance when we come to hotel. He just wanted cheat us. That wasn't good expierence in that hotel. Rest of our stay was very nice!. Service not friendly! It looks like a palace but don't expect to be treated like a prince. The food at the hotel restaurant is terrible. Non-veg dishes in the restaurant were very very small. But I have to say the breakfast was very good indeed. It was slightly out of the city, but easily accessible with rickshaw. Not really a problem!. The Confusion between the Umaid Bhavan Hotel and the Umaid Mahal Hotel address. The location was a good 15 minutes from central Jaipur if the roads weren't too busy. No pick and drop from /.to airport. nothing like that. Disinterested front desk staff, TV with most popular channels unavailable, room service unavailable before 0700 hours, lack of newspaper in the rooms. hotel was next to other residential buildings whereas the impression created was that this was a heritage hotel. Rooms were much smaller than what appeared on the internet photographs. Pool was very small. Tired looking room and dubious cleanliness of bedding. People partying until 4am so got no sleep. Breakfast so poorly presented we didn't eat. Not recommended.
