It is an interesting location, right across a mill stream from the old castle on the lake. The Eszterhazy Palace is around the corner, but it is not open and in need of much renovation. The owner was lovely and welcomed us very nicely even though we arrived very late. The room was fairly basic but extremely clean and tidy and we had a good nights sleep. It was a short drive to the lake where we drove to the following morning. -

The staff is amazing, friendly and helpful. You feel like you are at home. The breakfast is really good and tasty. The Pension is close to Lake Balaton and to an Inner Lake which is perfect for fishing, and walking tours around. Really good biking routes around, and they have lot of events and festivals during summer in Tihany. -

The hosts were lovely and helpful. The accommodation was very clean and tidy and the breakfasts were excellent.The pretty garden and small pool were a bonus. This was a very relaxing stay and although little English was spoken the hosts were great.
