Attila and his wife are the perfect hosts. The hotel is wonderful with a perfectly manicured garden which would be the envy of a florist. There is a vegetable garden which supplies the most wonderful fresh produce for the most wonderful breakfast buffet of any hotel I have ever been to. The first day of our visit Attila asked us what our interests are and then proceeded to take out a map of Eger and show us the sites that he felt would be of interest to us. all reviews » If you search for Palazzo Wellness Villa using Google Map and street view, you may not even see this place. If you use your gps to guide you there, you will feel that you are certainly lost. The hills are steep and the streets are very narrow. As you turn on to a little side street, the property gate becomes apparent. Once inside, the property reveals itself as a beautiful oasis. Every kind of colorful blossom fills the palate. There is almost too much color and horticultural variety to take in. The garden is just beautifull even more than as seen in photos. Anywhere arround and in is very clean. The staff are very kind and are keeping the villa to be quite and relaxed. Erxellent place to be and to enjoy in. Very good restaurant in eger "Senator" and prices are very convinient. We will visit again.10-15minutes walking to the city center of eger or 2-4 euro by taxi. Everything was fantastic, from the welcoming drink when we arrived to assisting taking our bags outside to the taxi. The gardens were beautiful, the rooms were large, clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, the spa room was large and relaxing, while breakfast was copious and varied. Nevertheless, we were comfortable in the evening and throughout the night with a couple of windows open. There were many cable channels on tv, however, only several in English although this may not be an issue to most people. Nothing. Nothing special to dislike. The bed in the superiour plus room was very hard which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. This was surprising considering the obvious quality of the villa's appointments in general. It is located about 10 to 15 minutes (walking) from the city centre - not a difficult walk unless you have difficulty walking. Only wish we could have stayed longer. The 10 minutes walk to the city center is a little annoying, but I guess you can get it all. Not in the very center of the city, but 10 minutes walk is fair enough to take, or otherwise a cab would cost no more than 800 Ft (2.5 Eur). A fully booked hotel will cause parking problems. It's a little too far out from the town centre to walk back at night from dinner, but the taxi fare is cheap, so not a big deal. Problems in finding a villa. Breakfast could be a bit richer. I mean some egg-dishes, wider range of juices, sauseges are missing. Hardly think of anything. Aircon not great. can not name anything that we disliked.
