  My wife and I stayed at the Royal Hotel the last night of our stay in Greece. We were looking for someplace close to the airport, due to our early morning flight. We were pleasantly surprised when, upon check-in, we were informed that we had been upgraded to a "Sea view room", which included breakfast, however, due to the fact that we would be... what people say » leaving before 5:00 am, the restaurant would not be open, so the front desk personel arranged to have a box breakfast for my wife and I. We were inv - The staff! They are absolutely the best. Even before we arrived, they made themselves available via email to answer all sorts of questions as well as offer very helpful advice. Those interactions made us feel as if we had friends waiting to greet us in Greece. This was especially helpful since Thessaloniki was the start of our 17-day trip (via car) throughout Greece. When we arrived at the airport at midnight (after traveling nearly 24 hours from San Diego), three of our five pieces of luggage

  I stayed very shortly but felt like I was staying at my own beach house. It is situated on a beautiful sandy beach. The staff is very nice and friendly. We stayed in a standard room. The bathroom is old and should be renewed. It has a very big terrace and we enjoyed sitting there. I wish they offered breakfast as well. But there is a hotel next to... what people say » the villa where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would recommend the villa especially for families with small childeren. And private parki - Fabulous location on the sea front. We just took the double room with extra bed for the little one and room was clean (and cleaned regularly with fresh towels when we needed them) Staff were very friendly - and drinks service on the beach was excellent! (not to mention free sunbeds and parasols - and always some free) Safe beach for kids. It's not a big resort so nice and friendly but still plenty of restaurants to choose from just 5 mins drive down road.

  Avra Hotel is in a fantastic location. Fantastic beaches only a few minutes away. We were made to feel so very welcome by the staff, in particular Maria, who was so very helpful. We cannot praise the cleanliness of the accomodation enough. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone who wishes for a relaxing holiday. But it happens in the - Very good and nicely designed hotel with many interesting details. Good and free spa center that requires appointment. Amazing food - fusion cuisine. 100 m close to the sea, but the beach is not superb though very decent. Thera are couple of fireplaces in the lobby and the feeling was magic. Wi-Fi worked perfectly, no problem to park and I really injoyed winter spa wekend in this hotel. Outside of the hotel with sweeming pools is also nice but not interesting in this time of the year. Great place to stay if you want to spend a day before/after going to the airport, or even longer if you just want to relax by the pool.

The hotel is simple but the good stay for the seaside vacation was fully ensured - very good price / value ratio. The location is just amasing, literally 20m from the sea. Rooms are clean and really cosy. Recommended 100% and will return for sure.
