Superb breakfasts with lots of choice and extras like the small pancakes deep fried and served with honey and sesame seeds - delicious. Meals in the restaurant were fantastic, again with lots of extras and a new dessert to sample every day. The staff were very well trained, courteous and took the time to talk.   The location is great (the sea is at 1km, Rethymnon is close too), and so is the pool! Manousos welcomes you very nicely and is here to help during your stay if you have any question. A really nice place to stay, whether you are a group of friends or a family. - Great location!   We liked everything in castello! When we arrived maria the reception lady gave us a nice welcome and told us that they've upgraded us to the honeymoon suite ! we had a big comfortable room, well designed with a jacuzzi on the large balcony facing the sea. We got a basket of fruits, a bottle of wine & water. The bed was comfortable and the bath... what people say » had jacuzzi in it also. The staff payed attention to a lot of details, it felt like we got a personal treatment. The pool was great, not too cold! Th - Nothing was too much for any of the staff - you were treated superbly with a fantastic hotel room & great sea views. As we arrived late & missed dinner, the hotel had placed a plate of salad, cold meat, a bottle of wine & water on our arrival. During meal times, there was a wide selection of dishes available. Sissi is a quiet area as is the hotel and fantastic for peace & relaxation. The spa treatments that i received were well worth the money.

  Elounda Mare is perfection. We absolutely love this place and will definitely be back. Our room had beautiful views and was very spacious and very clean. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. After travelling all day we arrived quite late so the complimentary glass of champagne was very much appreciated as was the fruit basket in our room.
