  Very attractive hotel/apartment block located midway between town and the beach, so quiet and yet convenient. Nice pool (though surprisingly cold after a long, hot summer) and outdoor breakfast/lunch area. Staff very friendly and helpful - they even upgraded us to a 2 bed apartment overlooking the pool at no extra cost - because it was available! ... what people say » We understand that Malia can be pretty frenetic in mid summer, but Mid- September was just great and we loved the sandy beach and the Old Town - espec - Socrates is a lovely hotel. Very friendly owners, Eva and George. Absolutely perfect pool area, with comfortable sunbeds and a wonderful garden. We got clean towels every day and the room was perfectly cleaned. It was about 200 m to the bus stop (32) to Hersonissos and to the beach 200-250 M. The hotel is perfectly situated in the countryside quiet yet central. I would definitely go back. And the transfer service I great. (A family with 16 and 9 year old kids)

  Great value for my money. Me and my girlfriend had a blast. All things considered this place was great. The massage parlor was the highlight of our trip.   A good suite of rooms, with living room/kitchen, bedroom & shower room. Two balconies, one with a fine view to sea & over the pool (which is well sited). Close to the beach & beach bars, but not on top of them. A friendly manager (the daughter of the family), who helped a lot. Breakfast included without charge, despite the booking being for room only, all for €24 a night (off season). - We only had 1 night at the hotel which of course was not enough! Fantastic location, great pool (especially with kids section), a small playground, and within just a minutes walk of the beach. Loved the destination as well, a great surprise as the beach is terrific for kids, and lots of great restaurants line the boardwalk (which is car free). Perfect destination for families.

  Nice resort, very comfortable with children, many different pools, beaches, playgrounds, activities for kids. Friendly staff, nice gardens. Water park next to the resort was good. - I liked the all inclusive and food and drinks were lovely. Plenty of pools to choose from and loads of water slides to slide on all day long!

  Great hotel - The room was excellent, the staff very friendly and in general a very enjoyable experience. The Beach could loose some of the chisel but the water was clean and everything else absolutely fine.
