  The Central Hotel is very well situated in Athens in the Plaka, with a view of the Acropolis from our room, but also within a few short blocks of the main Athens shopping districts. It is about 2 blocks away from major public transportation (which is worth trying as the subways have become museums in their own right due to excavation finds in rec... what people say » ent years). Strolling through the plaka and vendor stalls, you will find yourself next to the ancient agora on one side and rows of tony restaurants - Location: The location is great, just a few blocks from the Syntagma Square and in walking distance to the main attractions. We took x95 from the airport but it stopped pretty far from the square and we walked about 1.5km with 4 luggages! I would recommend taking a metro or ask hotel to book a transfer: €40 one way. Staff: very friendly and helpful. We flew to Santorini after check-out and we could stored the luggages at the hotel for 2 days. Clean. It has free wifi and a roof top bar with a go

  The hotel is new and very clean. The owner, Telis, represents the hospitality Greece is famous for! And the staff of the hotel was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was very good and I liked the peace and quiet it offered. The beach is about 5 mins max from the hotel, on foot !!! You do need a car though to move around the island. Breakfast was really tasty and the only day I had dinner at the hotel, the food, the table, the service, everything, was more than I expected, 10 out of 10. Also, their homemade white wine was really superb. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Poros, beautiful island!

  At less than 50 euros a night the hotel is basic but clean and adequate for my needs. It is not as contemporary as some in the same price range (Ibis, Campanile type), but has more facilities like a fridge in the room. I also got a big balcony. - Easy to find, good room space, friendly staff.
