(Sorry for my English. I'm French) What an amazing experience we had at La Perla ! First of all, the view is amazing as you can imagine. The sea view cave rooms were really nice and the balcony opens up on the caldera. The hotel is very quiet and run by a very nice lady. We have always dealt with Zefi and she was always smiling and helpful. When you meet her, you know you have picked the right hotel ! And after spending hours shopping around for the best place in Oia, I was relieved when.

That's the place to be for views, sunsets, and charming strolls (when the cruise ship passengers are gone). Pool's nice, particularly since . Beautiful location, with view over the caldera. This is all that matters, the serenity of the sea below and the quieteness of the place.... Rooms are very nice, we had our own private balcony with a large table fornbreakfast, and double bathroom. Nice pool, although a bit too much in the full sun the whole day (and umbrella was broken) The place makes you feel like a king for a few days!. The service was impeccable; Christina, the girl at the reception was particularly helpfull in all requests we had for her! The room was very nice and the experience of being in a traditionnal cave was worth the price. The view we had from our balcony and from the pool was one of the most beautiful we had ever seen!. Good, not exceptional as is the rest of the place. - Kichenette is poorly equipped - Breakfast is a little simple for the money you pay, could offer more variety. - Not enough towels on various days at the swimming pool - Generally, one does not go out of the way in terms of service but if you ask for something they deliver. The internet was not working so well. Same breakfast menu everyday. Wifi not strong inside the villa, we had to stay at the balcony for faster connection. The only problem I had with the room was that the mattress was not that good and the pillows needed to be upgraded. No shower in room, just jacuzzi - nice but not practical. We should stay more nights there. Got a room looking over the pool. Did not have the views from the room as shown in the pics. But great views from the pool area. I don't regret, and I cannot complain about anything! Coming back for sure!. Minimum kitchen facilities; no variation in breakfast, prefer to make tea/coffee in room to ensure it is hot; difficulties with internet access. The mattress was extremely hard - our only complaint. Breakfast, sometimes a boiled or baked egg, can also be nice. Should alert people, lots of stairs. No problem for us, but would be difficult for many. The cave is not really comfortable the bed is quiet hard, inside is really dark and it doesnt stop popping and cracking all the time specially at nigth it doesnt let you have a relaxing sleep. I didnt find the breakfast amazing. geeting around ouside Oia is a nigthmare the bus is frequent I spent an hour trying to catch the bus at the end I had to catched a taxi which is not cheap the best is to hire a motorbike but the roads are quiet narrow and steep. Just a family-owned hotel, doesn't meet any star standard. And way too over priced. Terrible breakfast with little choice, bread and juice are counted per person per piece. outrageous! Very old facilities, poor ventilation. we requested quiet rooms, however there were all kinds of noise at night. A motor at the doorway, a fridge turns on and off. Even the toilet tank makes non stopping noise and kept refilling. Location is on the south of OIA, cant see sun set, nor sun rise.
