We stayed at Thomas Beach in Nea Makri for one night and it was perfect. Great seaside location and close to Rafina Port for our ferry to Mykonos the next day. The hotel staff were fabulous, nothing a problem. They organised to pick us from the airport, and even our late flight arrival did not put Christos, our driver off. He was a gem, full of information. Spent most of my days beside and in the pool as it is so pleasant. Always found an empty sun lounger and plenty of space to position it in the shade or sun. Staff are very friendly and incredibly helpful. Single room was very spacious with comfortable bed, modern on-suite and wide selection of food at the breakfast buffet. Hotel is well positioned near to th. The owner and staff were extremely accommodating. We booked the family room. When we arrived we were given the option of two rooms or the family room. The breakfast was wonderful both mornings. The second morning, we had to leave early. The owner made a special arrangement to serve us breakfast early. The location was also good. The only issue was that the hallway and rooms where we stayed need a bit of TLC. We were very pleased with our stay overall though. the owners were faulous, lots of information for the independent traveller, saved lots of money by being encouraged to use public transport and given info on places to eat .Therefore we were able to spend more in the shops. Nico arranged for our pick up at the airport and dropped us off at the port to catch our bus to the airport on departure...Soft bed, Fridge in the room,a pool, breakfast..what more could you want... We especially liked the host, Thomas' son, and the kind lady that helped us with directions the morning we left. Great breakfast! Very comfortable beds. It's a family run business and they looked after us very well. They were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. If travelling as a family do check beforehand. one day of cold and rain... Light snacks and drinks were a little pricey compared local taverns and cafeterias. Would have been nice to be able to stay for lunch instead of heading out. Unfortunately, recent weather has caused the roads to be in need of major repair so the trip to the hotel took some time on back road detours - but my talks with Nikos made it enjoyable. Nothing at all except my stay was too short!. Having to leave. It was further from the airport than I realized in the booking. I arrived late on a Sunday evening; the nearby clubs were noisy, making me want to close doors and avoid the deck. Nothing. A bit noisy at night due to close location of a restaurant, had to close the window. Hotel is a block off beach road with night clubs. On weekends, you may need to close balcony door and turn on A/C to reduce noise. Bathroom/shower space was a bit too small. No complaints at all. I wanted a hotel close to airport as I was just staying one night till flight next morning. Site said 12.5km away. it was much further away than this. Online said to /from airport transfer included. We found out it only covered one way. Being such a long way out from airport added to the cost of this stay. Nothing, everything was great. Was not close to airport like indicated Was not on beach like indicated Neighbourhood is extremely noisy with dogs barking etc Wires in the passage way? Rooms need serious renovation.
