George was the most incredible host. He offered us a larger suite as a discounted rate when our family arrived, as he wanted us to be really comfortable, and we were thrilled with the larger suite (although the smaller one would still have been great). The property itself is just gorgeous, with olive and orange trees, lit up at night, lovely places to eat outdoors and private balconies for each suite, plus a view of the Palamidi Fortress up on the hill. Anything that we needed, George helped us.

After passing the Tripoli road toll station, take the second exit from the national road which directs to Mycenae – Nafplio leading to Dervenakia. Follow the signs to Mycenae – Nafplion. When you see a sign for Epidavros turn left and at the roundabout follow the exit to Tolo – Nafplion – Epidavros. After 500 metres you will see the orange sign to Agroktima Elia. The GPS co-ordinates are: 37.5984476187015, 22.8309845924377 Please inform Agroktima Elia in advance of your expected arrival time. Information about the area

The area around Agroktima Elia is steeped in history of Ancient times in Greece. Ancient Tiryntha where we are situated dates back to the Mycenaean Era and Mycenae is just 20 min away. We are very close to Nafplion, the first capital of Greece where visitors flock to all the year round to take in the magical atmosphere of the place. Narrow streets with overhanging balconies and small shops, tavernas and bars spilling out onto the sidewalk. The beaches of Karathona and Arvanitia are just 5 minutes from Agroktima Elia in Nafplion and Tolo beach is just 15 minutes away. There are many other beaches following the coast in any direction. The city of Argos is known to be the oldest continually inhabited city in Europe and well worth a day to visit the archaeological museum, ancient theatre, castle of Larissa and the local market on a Wednesday and Saturday held in the market place.

Travelling information

If you travel from Athens or Patra follow the national road 'Tripoli - Nafplion'. After the first tolls get off in the first exit and follow the road to Mycenes and after that to Nea Tirintha where the hotel is located.
