  Very attractive hotel/apartment block located midway between town and the beach, so quiet and yet convenient. Nice pool (though surprisingly cold after a long, hot summer) and outdoor breakfast/lunch area. Staff very friendly and helpful - they even upgraded us to a 2 bed apartment overlooking the pool at no extra cost - because it was available! ... what people say » We understand that Malia can be pretty frenetic in mid summer, but Mid- September was just great and we loved the sandy beach and the Old Town - espec - Socrates is a lovely hotel. Very friendly owners, Eva and George. Absolutely perfect pool area, with comfortable sunbeds and a wonderful garden. We got clean towels every day and the room was perfectly cleaned. It was about 200 m to the bus stop (32) to Hersonissos and to the beach 200-250 M. The hotel is perfectly situated in the countryside quiet yet central. I would definitely go back. And the transfer service I great. (A family with 16 and 9 year old kids)

  First of all, a very big thank you to the proprietors Parthenis and Elena. I stayed one week at the Parthenis Beach and it is just a fantastic place to relax. Their warm welcome and hospitality is very much appreciated. They want you to feel "at home". The hotel is extremely well situated; next to the private beach. The accent is put on fresh and top quality food; and this in a tasteful and ve - We are just back from a fantastic stay at Parthenis Beach. We booked into stay for an extra 2 nights it was so wonderful. The setting is amazing right overlooking a stunning beach with beautiful clear blue waters and those sun beds are just so comfy.
