Friendly staff, willing to help and pickup from the port for free. Location very central, walking distance to the night life area, but far enough to sleep during the night.
The rooms were very clean and the windows protections were perfect for morning sleep :)
Also very close to bus station, but i recommend renting a car. -

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Mata. This family-run place is super
friendly and welcoming. The rooms all have private balconies, but there
are also communal spaces which make it easy to meet other travellers.
The garden setting is gorgeous and really peaceful. Many people hit up
Ios to party, but we had a very relaxing time staying at Villa Mata. The
little outdoor kitchen is handy for cooking up some food. Also the staff
were really helpful when we were planning our onward leg.

Very happy with this. I was travelling on my own but was make to feel at home by the owner. Location is amazing, literally across the road from the centre. Pelagos was one of the most fantastic places we have ever stayed. Conveniently located right between Mylopotas Beach and a short walk into the main town it was in a great place with amazing views.
