The staff were so welcoming , particularly Georgos , and the welcome meeting with free glass of champagne and smoked salmon blinis was a really nice touch . We were upgraded and our room was lovely with fabulous view to spinalonga and hot tub on the balcony . Another very nice touch was free bottle of very good quality Cretan red wine . All in all , our friends and I would definitely recommend this hotel and will come to stay again.

Hotel's view of Island of Spialonga is impressive. Calm sea with sand beach and olive trees. Large suit with balcony looking at the Spialonga. Very friendly stuff, especially the golf car drivers. Child frienly environment. Thank you Maggie.. The place is beautiful, the beach where you can lay in the shade of olive trees, not umbrellas. The sea water is clear. Not overcrowded even in high season. Food in the hotel (breakfast and dinner) is delicious. An amazing hotel. Defines the word " luxury" by all means! We had an amazing stay... Very luxurious. The only suggestion I would make is to increase the magnification in the shaving / make up mirror in the bathroom . Toilets on the beech smells bad. No common bath in the villa, no teapot and no iron in the room. The exclusive restaurant whose name I forget is over priced and lacking in atmosphere. However their other two restaurants are excellent. . Sometimes the number of small kids was overwhelming (it didn't really say that when we booked). .The service at the beach restaurant was extremely friendly, but there was quite a long wait between courses each time. No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms. That the pool wasn't heated. Children shoukdnt be allowed in the spa area whilst people are having treatments. The buffet restaurant in the evening wasn't very good , if I would of been on haf board I would have been very dissatisfied . Not ready for the season.
