My stay there was FANTASTIC!!!! Finally i could sleep so well after months!! I woke up and i had an amazing view of the blue Aegean see and the old venecian port and castle of the city!!! Simply amazing. The room was In the center of the old town (which is an awsome place to explore) and very very quiet! The room was very comfortable in an old Venecian traditional house of a very rich Venecian conte! Now the hole house belongs to SOFIA the most polite, cheerfull and sympatic girl of Chania!! I .
all reviews » Fabulous location in the old town, listening to the sea. You are in real Crete here up a narrow road that is a visual delight. Sure the room is not a modern 5 star one but it really is a true Cretan place and entirely comfortable, clean and colourful. The rooms are excellent value and finally, but not least, Sofia and the other staff are exceedingly warm and helpful and jovial. I cannot speak highly enough of her, arriving as I did at what was a very difficult time for her personally and she wa. The owner is by far the best host imaginable. She made us feel as if we were one of her kids. We were able to sit down with her and ask numerous questions about the culture, government, religion, etc. She provided us with information one can not receive on a tour and even prepared us a local sea urchin dish. She provided any amenities we needed such as extra towels, a hair dryer, and kitchen appliances. Her humor and mannerisms made our stay worthwhile. The staff is excelent and extremly helpful. The location could hardly be better, it's really in the centre of the town, just slightly high up in the Castelli district. It only takes 3 minutes to go from the Venetian port and you you pass from the rush to complete calm, another dimension. And there's a bit more of a breeze being high up. The appartment itself is decent. It's old town and the buildings are not new!. Ambiance of 47 just great. Sophia, the owner, is just so very exuberant and welcoming. At less than 20 quid for an overnight what's to complain about. Great ancient property in Old Town overlooking sea. Take the second floor front and get a balcony facing front. Not perhaps somewhere to stay a week but I had a great nights sleep and would have been happy to stay a night or two longer. Rooms47 is in a very convenient location - just a few minutes walk to the old-town and the Venetian Harbour. The room was lovely with a great sea-view. Sophia (the owner) was very helpful with information (restaurants, directions, recommendations and particularly for me helped me find a garage to sort some car problems). A lovely stay. The most lovely owner, Sophia. Thanks for a fantastic time. She went out of her way to make me comfortable. Very lovely seaside hotel in a converted house. Nice big room with sea view and lots of character but with with all the comforts of home. Very near to everything but on a pretty and quiet side street. The lady running Rooms 47 is so welcoming and lovely and kind. It's not far from the bus station if you've just flown in and there's everything you need for a good night's sleep. Total steal for the niceness and location!. Rooms 47 are a perfect location in Chania. Around the corner from the venetian port and all the attractions of the harbor. And still far enough to be quiet and silent place to sleep. And the owner is so so friendly !!. Sofia was absolutely stunning! We booked our hotel at 10pm still on our way to Chania from Heraklion and she stayed awake to welcome us in the early morning hours! The location is perfect and so was our stay there!. the owner Sofia is so nice and friendly the location is perfect only fews meter at the pier...quite room and simple. i will return there for a beautiful sea view (ask for that before). Staff was very friendly and kind. Location of hotel is great - in the center with sea view. Price is very reasonable. Chania is amazing, looking forward to go there again :). GoogleMaps puts it in the wrong location. Make your way to Starbucks at the Venetian Harbour and you will be just a couple of hundred yards away. Everything was good. Nothing. Small size room. The room I had was the worst ever. Dirty with open live Wires in bedroom AND bathroom , door locked with clasp on inside and small padlock on outside. Basil Faulty would have sent for O'Reilly to finish it.
