The location of the hotel is very convenient - right in front of the Monastiraki square near metro. It has beautiful rooftop bar, where they serve also breakfast for the guests with Acropolis view! The amenities are clean, everything is new! The room was very spacious with good bathroom facilities. The staff is very kind and happy to help starting from telling everything about the places of interest in the city to treating you a free drink while waiting for your room to be ready to givng you ex.
all reviews » My staying was AMAZING! The room I got was incredibly awesome with a super view to the Acropolis that I've spent hours in bed staring at it before sleep! Very clean room, modern bathroom, you can control the temperature in the room (that was pretty cool) and what I liked most was the bed and pillows, those were very very comfy! The reception staff were very helpful, kind, polite and always up to help you with whatever you needed... They didn't even say a single "No" to me! Thank you so much Van. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. I left my camera in the room when I checked out and Evangelos at reception tried several times to contact me to advise me. I arranged to have it couriered to Italy and he did a great job parcelling it and preparing it for pick up by the courier and then contacted me to tell me when it had been picked up. All travellers on holiday would appreciate the treasured memories recorded on a camera so his help in my recovering the camera was really appr. Location,Location,Location. You can easily jump on the train then get off and you are right at the hotel. Close to all the tourist shopping,eating . We walked to all the attractions Acropolis,Acropolis museum, Zeus temple might be a bit of a walk for an older couple but once you figured out where you were everything was within walking distance. great view from the room very well done modern. good shower love the rain shower and the breakfast was buffet style with a nice assortment.Bar on the 6. Spending the last night in Athens, after summer holidays around Greece, A for Athens Hotel was the best choice. The hotel is located in the heart of Athens, at Monastiraki square, at a walking distance from all popular destinations, restaurants, bars, and shops. The room was in super clean condition, the bathroom very modern, bed very comfortable. At the spacious balcony, you could relax and enjoy the view to the lighted Acropolis. The hotel provided all I needed during my stay in Athens. Brea. This was such a nice place. The room was nice and big and clean and comfortable. Vios (I hope I spelled that correctly) at the front desk is a treasure, he was so helpful and knowledgeable. What a wonderful individual. We could not have asked for more! Location is great, we were put off when we arrived at 11:30pm into the square which was full of graffiti & ppl but in the light of day (& with a good nites sleep) we found the location perfect! Definitely recommend walking around the area, Plaka is right there & it's a great walk to the acropolis. Again the staff are wonderful, so friendly & helpful, they made us feel welcome!. The Hotel is situated right in the center of the Monastiraki square. Even just opposite the Monastiraki train station. So easy to get to both the Piraeus Port and the Air port. It's also close to the lovely restaurant Kuzina and Acropolis. The room had a lovely balcony with view straight to Acropolis. It was fantastic. Staff was very helpfull. Breakfast was nice and served from 7 o'clock at the roof terazzo. This hotel was beautiful. Our room was spacious with a fantastic bathroom. Very clean, modern and comfortable. Any problems we had were dealt with promptly. Although we were in the city centre we felt safe and secure. The view from the rooftop deck was the best and had a funky little bar. Amazing view, absolutely incredible! Get one of the rooms with a view of the acropolis if you can, its worth it! But if not, the rooftop bar (where they serve breakfast) has awesome views too. The hotel is at the opposite of Monastiraki square and just has 50 metres near Metro sation. Look at through the window, we can see the Acropolic standing on the hill. Monastiraki square is very busy almost whole day with many street performance especially at night. The reception guys are very friendly. Room is clean and facility is good. I just liked everything! Well , almost. The only drawback - that comes with the territory was that my room was having a "view" to the elevator's shaft. I did wanted a family room ( 1 huge bed +1 single) and I did enjoy the quietness of it. Would not have been possible with a view to the square. Location : just 1 minute from metro (no need to get taxi from airport,, taxi fare is fix amount which is 35 Euro but the driver always try to cheat^^, better to get metro 8 euro/adult, 4 euro/child,, takes about 45 minutes) The roof bar is great, staffs are very kind and helpful, room is enough for my 2 kids (11yrs, 13 yrs). Athens No.1 BAR on the top .The Lift was very small, but thanks to the Manager HOTEL residents always have the Priority, We were travelling with INFANT and we really had great time staying there, GAVE us BIGGER room . and the cherry on the CAKE is breakfast........ The service was absolutely perfect. The stuff is very friendly and ready to help. We once overslept the breakfast and we specially served free of charge. The wiev from the restaurant on the roof is exeptional. If you want to get a cocktail reserve the table, as the place is extremely popular.Friendly staff, clean and stylish rooms with great view to Acropolis, amazing roof top coctail bar . Very minor & probably not worth mentioning but the lack of light did annoy me. Nothing. The elevator is too small to contain more than 3 people. I had a minor issue with the staff charging me more than in the offer from letsbookhotel.com , but they were very kind the the extra money were shortly refunded to my account. Wifi was down for the first 2 days however got fixed. Air conditioning didn't work the last couple of days we were there. Nothing! I'll stay in A for Athens again when I return to Athens for another visit!. Noisy till late night,,,, Coffee was not qualitative in b/F. WiFi - we couldn't access the internet. The hotel is a little bit noisy during the nights due to the bars nearby. This is a caution note rather than a dislike. Monastiraki Square is a busy spot so consequently at night the sound levels can be annoying. Usually by midnight things simmer down. Personally I found this atmosphere to be appealing but anyone looking for a quiet spot should go elsewhere. Wifi was not working in the room during our trip. Hopefully it is fixed for future visitors. No toothbrush provided. Our room directed the main street, so it was very noisy at night. People would sing and dance even at 2 a.m. Besides, the lift was so small. However, it was great experience. Nothing..it is a great hotel!. Minor negatives were the noise from the roof bar and the size of the elevator. Also the queue waiting to use the elevator was disturbing even though guests have priority. (they said that they are working on solutions to improve these facts). Small elevator but very popular roof restaurant. Have to walk upstairs. A little noisy due to busy street but for the location it's to be expected. The bathroom didnt have enough hanging racks. occasional sewage smells... Rather poor breakfast (it certainly didn't live up to what the dinner promised the night before). Monasteraki is a loud square and had drummers and crowds until 10 pm or so. It did not bother us, but could be a big factor to others. The area around the hotel (like much of Athens) is graffiti strewn and not the cleanest. But it is interesting. Not for those who want to feel they are in the best neighborhood, but we liked the location near the Agora and lots of value (and good) restaurants.
