This small country castle from the 17th century is located in the historic centre of the wine-producing town of Volkach, not far from its vineyards. The Franconian wine country has its centre here in Volkach. The river Main, the vineyards and various bicycle and hiking paths are directly at your doorstep, and cover a radius of about 50 kilometres up to the outskirts of the mountain ranges of Steigerwald, Odenwald, Hassberge, Spessart and Rhön.

Motorcyclists will appreciate the winding forest roads, while cyclists can explore a variety of paths ranging from flat riverside routes to spectacular hilly vineyard paths. Hikers will find many fantastic routes offering magnificent views of the surrounding nature.

The "culture cities" of Würzburg, Bamberg and Schweinfurt lie just a 15-minute journey away. Three golf courses can also be found within a 10-minute drive.

Alternatively, you may wish to take a canoe or ferry trip along the river Main, or visit an outlet centre of the most famous German designers.
