Veitshöchheim is only a few minutes away from Würzburg, and is situated on the east banks of the River Main. Its history dates back to before the birth of Christ and it has been the residence of many members of the aristocracy since then, due to its mild climate and charming setting. The courtyard garden was built by the Prince Bishop, and at its completion in 1779 became one of the most famous rococo gardens in Europe.
