Comfortable and clean rooms. Very good breakfast, Frau Derkum's wine is superb. She is an excellent host and good company. Urzig is well placed for visits to Trier, Bernkastel and Cochem without paying the inflated prices in those places. Lovely but hilly local walks in the vineyards, great views over the Mosel. It is a quiet town with limited restaurants which suited us. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The little town is so beautiful and typical of rustic Mosel valley I walked the town in minutes filming every minute of it (javadoug on flickr). I bought a bottle of their locally made wine - very good - get the dry. The hotel is rustic on the outside and very modern on the inside, a nice mix.
