This was a return visit to Alte Schmiede. I stayed here last year with my Fiancee as we toured Europe. We stopped here for 2 nights last year to visit Europa park. I suggested to my friend that we do the same whilst we did a mini tour of Europe on our motorcycles. Steve, the owner, if a great cook and makes some very nice German food. He and his wife run a nice little place, they are friendly, the bar is well stocked, there is a supermarket 2 minutes in the car and it is around a 20 minute driv.
