Even though it was well out of Munich I chose it as my base and was not disappointed; a fast frequent train service. A nice hotel, everything clean and comfortable and as a change from the big city nice lakeside interludes possible. I would recommend it as a place to stay when visiting Munich. Inviting room, good view over the lake and mountains, S-bahn to Munich across the square, parking worked OK in a town with no parking (huge bonus), easy access to the lakeside paths and cycling/walking.
