  A family run guest house. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. They provided breakfast every morning. Our room faced the two castles. Definently within walking distance of Horn, Schwangau, and Hohenschwangau if you don't mind going for a 20 min walk. It is immaculately clean and well maintained. Nice little balcony with a view of the castle past a bucolic cow pasture. Nice German breakfast of breads, jams, yoghurt, cereal, meats, and cheese. Shutters kept out most of the street noise.

  I have stayed at the Weinbauer twice before over 10 years and it has retained a traditional and personal service with many of the same staff whilst updating its facilities in a modern, sympathetic and comfortable style. It was away from the hustle of Fussin, yet located very close to the entrance to the castles.

  We liked the openness of the space (even with 6 people it felt like lots of room), the decor (especially in the master bathroom), the functionality of the kitchen, and the very comfortable exit we had right into the front yard with the lawn chairs and our own patio table. Of course the location was superb - we thoroughly enjoyed having a 'home bas... what people say » e' for daily biking trips around the the lakes and mountains. All in all, it was excellent. We felt right at home. - We - myself and hubby, my two teenagers and my parents - loved Luna Mia (Apt 3). The location could not be beat. Beautiful surroundings everywhere you look. The apartment was very spacious with stainless steel appliances and granite counter top in kitchen. The bathrooms were luxurious.

  Staying at Haus Luna was truly a wonderful experience. It's an ideal location, especially for visitng Neuschwanstein Castle. Heidi, the staff member we interacted with, was very kind and accommodating. I made a mistake in our booking so we came a day earlier than she expected. We will very likely be back there to visit someday. - Neuschwanstien is one of the most amazing places i have ever been. Haus Luna is near the beautiful castle, you can have a wonderful walk accros the fields to the castle. The accommodation was also amazing, very nice rooms in beautiful bavarian house, the owner was very nice lady, gave us some tips what to do, where to go out for dinner. Thank you so much, we will be coming back.

  Highly recommend this place if going to Schwangau. Very clean, friendly staff, great atmosphere with views of the castles. Tons of bikes to use, which I recommend using, for a ride around the lake. - Extremely helpful staff. Very friendly and with good English. Room was spotless and beautifully decorated and the bed was comfortable.

  The family that runs this hotel is so nice. We didn't feel like we were staying at a hotel but someones home, we will be staying here again. Plus some of the rooms have amazing views of the castles and they are breath taking! We were very close to the Castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau but not in the Middle of the busy tourist section...yet we could see Neuschwanstein from our bedroom window!   What drew us to this hotel was its location and price. Honestly, we were a bit scared that it may be a little rough since the price was lower than any we have stayed in Europe and because there were no reviews to read about! So we took a risk, and it turned out wonderful. The owner was so friendly and the apartment was so clean! I value cleanlines... what people say » s, and this was impeccable. There was a living room, bathroom, extra room (would be great if we had kids), kitchen, and a balcony with great views. Al - Sonja, the host, is a remarkable lady, very kind, attentive and helpful. She picked us up from the train station in Fussen and dropped us of there. The real apartment looks much better than seen from the photos. We had a very good time there, highly recommended.
