  The best hotel I've ever stayed in! The staff were absolutely fantastic, and so helpful with everything. The wooded area was very peaceful and beautiful, with the city completely out of sight and sound, yet so near. I do suggest taking the bus - walking with luggage took a lot longer than expected, especially with a hill at the end. The breakfast ... what people say » was perfect with a huge variety, and beautifully presented. The room was also meticulously clean and had a very cozy & warm, yet modern feel. I hi - We've been travelling for over three months now and this is the best hotel we've stayed in. The staff were amazing; the rooms were clean and quiet; wifi was reliable; the breakfast was a huge buffet and there was coffee to go. It was great to leave the car in the free carpark and walk the 2km across the Mosel River into Trier - an amazing historical city.   Staff was outstanding. Got in late after dinner was served, staff still made us sandwiches. Hotel is very neat. Came back to stay the second night and had and excellent dinner. Let them know if you want smoking or none smoking room.   Excellent location opposite the K-D ferry quay and it is definitely worth paying extra for a room with a river view balcony. Good choice at breakfast. - The staff; they were able to direct us to parking and had a place we could store our bikes. Also the hotel is in the middle of everything in Cochem.
