  We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday at Das Tergernsee and had a wonderful time. The entire reservation was handled professionally and efficiently and we were delighted with the room, menu and decor. The hotel is beautiful, with the most fantastic view of the lake.   The rooms were very big and clean! The view from the balcony with flowers, was great: the clear lake below (in which we swum several times) and the mountains behind it! The hotel was between the green hills, we made nice walks: saw cows, sheep, horses, lovely farms. different kind of birds of prey, dears and even a ermine! We discovered a graveyar... what people say » d out of the 14. century for victims of the plague. The food in the hotel was so lovely, that we used seven meals, every evening! The breakfast was f - The staff was very friendly. We had reserved two one-bed rooms, and were upgraded to lovely spacious rooms with incredible views of the castles. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone. I would love to come back to see the new facilities as well, although I hope it is as quaint as this older building is!

  New owner, Peter, very friendly and informed. Room was beautifully remodeled with fabulous view of Lake Hopfensee and mountains in background. Took dry sauna in lower level and other amenities are being developed for spa like experience there as well. Breakfast at hotel was very, very good and lovely setting. Woul - Everything; wonderful accommodation with a terrific view, in a nice little village, just far enough from Fussen to be away from the crowds of tourists.Great restaurant right across the road for dinner, and a wonderful breakfast in a beautiful location at the hotel.   Nice hotel with a good restaurant. The smallest rooms where however very small, but it got all you need. However for 5 EUR more a night you get a much bigger room.
