Our 3 night stay in the Meininger Hotel/Hostel was faultless. Room was bigger than expected, clean and modern as photographed. Staff were excellent and helpful. There was a bar and pool table and space down stairs to chill out outside of the room. Walking distance to main train station and the city if you like to walk and the best part was the beer hall across the road! Thankyou for a great stay!.

The halls were not carpeted, which meant you heard every door close, which sounded like slamming. This is my only complaint about the hotel.Very noisy. The furniture in the canteen should be renovated a bit =))). Check out time to early at 10am. bf variation is limited. The only suggestions - please, do something about noise insulation. It seemed that cars are inside our room how noisy it was.Second - breakfast buffet should have better choices - at least a couple of fresh vegetables and some fruit were really missing. We wanted to extend our stay an extra night and were charged a lot more than we paid for the first night. If you are going to stay here book online for all nights since this rate is much better than the rate given if you walk up to the front desk.Elevator was a bit strange, breakfast costed couple of euros extra and there was some noise outside in the evening. A place where I could smoke, in the lobby or so.Well, the place is noyse, but it was expected.... The loudlyness that some guest came back with at night. Rather difficult to find the way by car.
