Superbly efficient, rapid and courteous check in despite many guests ariving at same time. Many De Luxe hotels could learn from Mercure's staff and their work systems. Very modern and new, bathroom was spotless (probably one of the best I've ever stayed in), however unfortunately the floor was filthy. So much dust that any clothes dropped were covered. Good location, close to all areas when hiring a bike.

On arrival, we were informed that our room rate (c€75/night) was inclusive of breakfast, soft drinks and hot drinks, which was a real bonus. The hotel is also big on health!!! Most hotels would put a chocolate on your pillo - The hotel was in a great location, right on the doorstep of all the main attractions of Berlin and even opposite the Topography of Terrors Museum. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always polite and could speak perfect English. They even rang a restaurant for ten minutes trying to get us a reservation. The room was very spacious and clean and had all the facilities you would require.

The hotel was old fashioned but very well maintained and clean. The staff were very helpful and the location was excellent - we were only a 10 minute walk from the busy city centre but there was hardly any traffic around the hotel so the area was quiet. - Very easy to access the U-Bahn. The staff was very helpful in providing excellent restaurant recommendations within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel was situated within walking distance of Museum Island and the Nikolaiviertel so sightseeing was easy. Having a subway station across the street gave us convenient access to the rest of Berlin.
