  Excellent location, very close to train station and many restaurants...just a few steps to the lovely lake area. It's close to shopping and sights, too, and if you're not too burdened with luggage, you can walk from the cruise center (we did, with 50-pound bags). We'd stay at Ibis again. - Location was a big plus, walking distance from train station and main city attractions. Staff at the breakfast buffet, bar and front desk were very nice.   The standard of the hotel is very high, across the board. We received a pleasant welcome and were escorted to our brand new, spotless room (of 5 star standard) where we spent two relaxing days. It's a short walk to central station but is well equipped with a number of cafes/bars downstairs. The walk from the train station does involve passing by several "exotic" shops and streetwalkers, but this is germany, and any hotel near to a railway station is going to involve an interesting walk.

  Some 4* hotels can be quite rude to young people stopping in groups. We stopped here after a music festival and must have looked pretty rough on arrival but they were still very friendly and helpful. They also spoke very good english.
