  The Alster Hof was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Hamburg. The hotel is located close to downtown shopping, the staff are very friendly and helpful (eg. went out of their way to help knowing that I was unwell during my stay), a comprehensive breakfast and free internet access were provided and it was very well priced. -... what people say » convenient location (very near to train station), staff was very friendly and helpful, room was modern and clean

  Great location, reasonable price, friendly staff, nice clean room, good bar and restraunt. - Staff were very helpful. I had trouble connecting my Mac to WiFi so a staff member let me use the receptions PC for internet use. A very large selection of items for breakfast. Queen size bed just for me.
