Konstanz provides free bus passes. To get them, show your passport and
fill in a form with the hotel staff. Breakfast is available for an
additional 8 euros per person. It had hot eggs and potatoes on the
weekend,

We stayed here on our honeymoon and it was fantastic. It's outside of the main city area, but you get a free bus pass for the 10 minute ride downtown if you stay more than 2 nights. It's nice to be in a quieter area and right on the lake, which you don't get in the city center. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well.

The location is ideal, 35 second walk to the lake edge. The hotel is very boutique and is stylishly fitted with antiques and art. The gardens are very well kept and pleasant to sit in with a coffee or a wine and gaze at the lake, alps and people passing by.
