  I have stayed a number of nights in meininger Hotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof to catch an early train from Berlin Hauptbahnhof. This hotel is less than 100 m away from the station. I also stayed in other hotels around Berlin Hauptbahnhof and I think meininger Hotel is the best for the money you are paying (well, Motel One is clearly much nicer, but you ... what people say » usually have to pay twice as much). This MEININGER Hotel had everything I needed for a sleepover: clean and comfortable bed, good location, free WIFI, - - Outstanding location, right next to train station. In fact, we did not see any other hotel property nearby, making the place even more attractive - Great value for the money. - Breakfast was extra, but worth the Euro 5.90/per person charged - Bursting with energy of youth. The hotel provides free ticket for all types of city tra... what people say » nsport for the whole period of stay I would like to mention 2 features that I have not experienced before. 1.There was a nightlight in the bathroom an - Very conventiently located near the Central Station, but also near the Reichstag, Friedrichstrasse (shopping) and Brandenburger Tor. Close to the S- and U-Bahn. Eventhough it was so close to the trainstation, we didn´t hear the trains inside. Quick check in and check out and nice service in the bar when we had a drink there one night. We didn´t take breakfast in the hotel as there are so many spots around to have breakfast or lunch.

  Clean room, friendly staff, everything was functional and all with quite a reasonable price and like, in a good position too I guess (about 8 minutes to the central station Hauptbahnhof). They are what they promise to be. The shared bathrooms weren't a problem at all. If you walk along the road under the railroad tracks it is about 5-10 minutes walk from hauptbahnhof. Italian restaurand, with good food for little money and friendly staff, next door made my kitchenett pontless, and i don't regret it. it's very close to many "must see" places. No screaming party drunks were heard in 5 days of my stay. suits very well for families.
