The staff was outstanding - very friendly and accommodating. They bent over backwards to call another local hotel to get me an internet connection as theirs was down. Very nice rooms, comfortable beds, crisp cotton sheets and down pillows. The hotel is a great value given the dollar/euro difference right now. It's in a very scenic location on the lake, but don't expect a lake view for the $$.

First constructed in 1886 on the site of a former knight’s residence, the property has been a popular inn among day-trippers since 1932. Following renovation in 2006, the hotel was reopened by the family owners.

Guests are able to visit the Bornmühle Nature Spa (3 km away) as day guests. Here you find an indoor saltwater pool, various outdoor saunas and a large area for spa and beauty treatments.

With its 4 Gothic gates and well-preserved monuments, Neubrandenburg makes a fascinating day-trip destination. Also worth visiting are Neustrelitz and Stargard Castle.
