The hotel is very clean and nice, with a pleasant decor. The rooms are a bit small, but the beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are also smallish, but very adequate. The staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very adequate to start the day. The restaurant and bar are very good, and nice to have after a long day. Free wi-fi is a nice benefit in a very economical, well situated hotel from which to work or explore the greater Munich area. Best for singles or couples. There is a groce.
all reviews » Great hostel and hostel near Munich. The staff speaks english very well and is very friendly and helpful. The Reception is open until 11 pm, if you need to leave early in the morning, just leave the keys in the room. In hostel, there is fyllu equipped kitchen with large refrigerator. WiFi if free in whole hotel, you must only sign a paper on the reception. Munich Airport is a short drive away, while at night the airplane at all disturb us. Room (en-suite bathroom) was nicely designed, and comfortable for the price. Staff is excellent - they can explain the subway/bus system to you, make recommendations on things to do in the area, it was a wonderful stay. Purpose of this trip was both business and leisure. It is conveniently close to the airport, and easy to take the subway/bus, especially having to leave the hotel at 6am for a flight. Everything. We were made really welcome and the staff went out of their way to see that all our needs were met. Extremely pleasant owners. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and not expensive. We are both very seasoned travellers staying at between 3-5 star hotels all over the world . This one although a tourist hotel ranks in our minds 5 star. Everything! The owners charming and so friendly. They made my small family feel right at home and were always one step ahead when it came to service. The room was spotless, nicely designed and the food (breakfast and the evening restaurant meal) was amazing! Nothing bad to say about this hotel!. Quiet room. Fridge was placed in our room by request with no additional charge (maybe because there weren't too many guests at that time). Bathroom was outside our room but still only for us (we were given our own keys for it). Nothing special, but just what we needed to stay for two nights. We had excellent communications with the owner before arriving. His directions to find the place were meticulously worded and left no questions about "where to turn next"? We were greeted most enthusiastically and the facilities were far beyond expectations of a "hostel" room. We used this as a final night stopover before a flight from Munich airport the next day. For this, it was idea. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable and there were some nice restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. If you believe that total silence is necessary for a good rest, here you'll get it. I was taking breath, during a long trip, and for that purpose "Halbergerhof" is great place. Clean, spacy and fully equiped appartments, owner and staff - very kind and helpfull. Easy location to Munich airport, very nice area with some restaurants nearby. I liked the location near Munich Airport, the easy access to the city centre via bus and S-Bahn, the pleasant and quiet neighbourhood with local restaurants as well as the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The room was beautiful and comfortable for a fair price. It was on the route to the subway system which makes it convenient to access downtown Munich. It is cheaper to stay here than it is to stay in Munich. Very close to Munich Airport, so when we arrived and picked up the hire car it wasn't long before we could have a hot shower and fall into bed. This is fabulous, after a 22hr flight from Australia!. Excellently equipped kitchen with 2 refrigerators etc. Two isolated rooms, where the noise of aircrafts does not take place although the airport is near. Very clean and sweet room, you cant notice a stuff - you notice only that your room was cleaned properly, reception very helpful, very "rich" breakfast. It was a very comfortable place to stay. My husband had an early flight out of Munich. It was a quick, stress free drive from the hotel to the airport. The location was close to the airport and because Octoberfest was in full motion, staying in Munich was cost prohibitive, so the price was right. The decor was absoluty beautiful and the hotel was cozy. The food I had was delicious. The owner was very nice and welcoming and I felt at home. The room decor was white, modern and used the space wisely. The receptionist was very friendly and willing to help and carried my bag to my room. Location to Munich airport and the subway system. We worked from the hotel for a week and adjusted just fine. On balance, the hotel is highly recommended, especially if you are on a budget. Breakfast on weekends is from 8:30 am. Somebody was smoking near our open window at night (maybe there is some kind of a smoking area or something). Breakfast was quite modest. Nothing. The bathroom was the only negative really, with the water pressure and shower generally being a little run-down compared the rest of the hotel. Also - the morning staff (ladies) were far less polite than the gentlemen who were on reception the previous evening. Also - the breakfast could have been a little more inspiring. Croissants etc. would have been nice as an alternative to bread rolls and sweet pastries. Common bathroom (this time we had hostel room) had only cold water for shower. Low doorways. We were worried that the walls might be 'too thin' and we would disturb other guests at 4:00 in the morning. It wasn't the nicest place to stay in the area, but not the worst either. No shuttle service available. I needed to take the train and a bus to get there. Cabbing there is expensive. The room I stayed in shared a bathroom. I did not like that. Serving personnel at breakfast on the Monday am was surly. No any public traffic except taxi or on foot, the taxi fee is 20。. Nothing!. Shower could be cleaned better inside and out. small parking. Coffee for guests should be provided/included as it is in every other hotel worldwide. Get a hook and eye lock for the door to the crawlspace next to the toilet in bathroom. It creeped the kids out and our daughter had to sleep in our bed. wifi was flaking downstairs; was getting a little run-downed (although they tried to keep it clean, etc.). very tiny bathroom. Somewhat difficult to get to. Not as close to airport as it appears to be. Too far from S-Bahn to walk, and the buses seemed to take a very long time. People smoking by the front door and outdoor restaurant. We had trouble finding the hotel because their sign has the name of the hotel in small print. Nothing!!!. They did not have their own shuttle and the taxi was expensive. Nothing. Slightly out of the way. You really need a car. My bed did a lot of noise while I move just a little bit.
