I'm not sure which Bristol I am rating. We stayed at two, one in Zurich and one in Frankfurt. The Bristol in Frankfurt rates much higher on my list than the one in Zurich. The staff was so friendly and helpful in Frankfurt. The rooms were nice and the breakfast was excellent. I would stay there again. It was a great positive suprise with breakfast until 13 hrs during weekends. The overall impression was great and for the money... superb.

As in most cities, locations around the main rail station are not an asset. It is very convenient, but not suited for evening strolls.I did not like the shower in the bathroom. It had one of those half shower doors and water would get on the floor in the bathroom. Also on the website the rooms appeared to have plasma screen TVs on the wall so when I arrived I expected to see that in my room and not a 13" TV. I enjoyed the location but did not enjoy the noise from the traffic. Too small room (never seen before) with a tiny tv, it was more a halfroom than a room.Yes, wi-fi did not work properly so I could not use it. This is very important to me so was an issue. There was a lot of noise from the street during the night, which could upset a "light sleeper"....fortunately, it did not cause me any problems, but I would request a "top floor" room in future.Too little light in the room. The resturant was hard to find. There were no signs indicating where it was.A bit to high price. The only thing that was an issue was the hotel bar and breakfast room were closed for the first three days of our stay. The hotel was under going annual mantainance and we had to go to the sister hotel. The sister hotel was only about two minutes walk away but when its cold in the morning its a bit of a pain.Noise from the road outside. not much light in the room. There was no air conditioner in the room, so it was very hot to sleep. And it was hard to sleep with the window open, because street is quite noicy at night time (railways station is near by and all "nice" people who hang out near it). Rooms a little on the small side. No information about Breakfast, check out times etc given in room, would be useful to have hotel info in room.reception rude - roome very small. 1 shampoo +1 shower gel, us was two double room.There is no conditioner !. We reserved a single. The room was too small. Not comfortable. Smallest room I have ever stayed in. The price for the single was excessive. Did not like the part of town very much. Near the Hauptbahnhof so convenient for travel but the neighborhood seemed shady. The room was too small to be called a double room.1) They withdraw 308 € from my credit card and they kept them as a deposit. However they have not notify me first, and this policy was not mentioned neither at the hotel preview nor at the copy of booking. At the check out I had to pay the entire amount of money plus the deposit. I find it unacceptable because if I did not have additional money with me I would have real problems... rooms need a proper shower curtain - too much water on the floor after every shower; stains on the carpet - for a newer hotel it was not acceptable; front desk staff was helpful but not very knowlegable about the city. Hard to find, room was not that clean. No restaurant, don't like eating at a bar...uncomfortable. Better selection of German Beers.
