a lovely well appointed room (unusual for a single) / excellent quality breakfast / do take advantage of the free bicycle hire as all the streets around have purpose built off road cycle lanes / as per the advice of a previous guest the hotel is easily accessible via the number 6 tram which runs frequently from outside the airport and get off at watjen strasse / i strongly recommend this hotel.

Quiet area and surroundings and proximity to tram lines to City Centre and Airport. i always stay in this hotel when i am in bremen. very nice clean hotel and nice neighbourhood. christmas shopping. we stayed in an apartment which was very clean and warm there is a nice texmex restuarant at the end of the street and from airport to hotel 25 mins max on the tram 10 outa 10. Nice breakfast buffé. Coffe was brought to table as soon as we sat down. English speaking staff with a serviceminded attitude.very large room, very clean bathroom, nice breakfast, quite location and a short walk from the number 4 tram. 24 hour reception, very quiet location, smart, clean hotel. nice quite area out of city. What really amazed me about this hotel was that they serve breakfast at any time. My taxi to the airport was ordered for 4.30 a.m., but I had my breakfast, anyway - at 4.00! The TV remote control did not work, but the TV was controllable from the buttons on the actual TV.It was a long way from the town centre. Only caveat--the street is called Cemetery St and backs on to a huge cemetery. Most of the shops are for gravestones, funerals and grave flowers! But it is very peaceful!. Decor was a bit dated but for the price you cannot complain!. The walls and ceiling are made as if from paper: all noise from other rooms was possible to hear.Hotel is currently undergoing renovation, it's not too noisy, but the hallways were messy. Staff did not speak English. You could hear it very clearly when people walked on the floor of the room above ours. The Heldt Hotel consists of many buildings, perhaps our building was only one with bad sound insulation. We only stayed for one night and I used ears plugs so this did not disturb my sleep though :) The bathroom lamp was not screwed to the wall, it hanged from it's electric cord against the wall. There was no welcome - it was very impersonal. Tea making facilities in the room as in English hotels would also have been very welcome.pillows a bit lacking in substance. Breakfast okay but at times food was lacking as staff a bit pressed to keep replenishing the food. Risk for robbery.It would have been helpful to know in advance that the rooms booked were in an annex a hundred yards or so from the main hotel. This was not made clear in the hotel information. Room very small. Very poor facilites, rooms were furnished in 1980's style. Accomdation was 150m away from hotel, on a different street!.
