Information about the area

Set in the middle of the Ruhrgebiet (Ruhr area), the historical town of Bochum holds many tourist attractions such as fascinating historical buildings and churches, as well as a pedestrian shopping area.

2 medieval castles survive along the northern bank of the Ruhr and are well worth a visit.

For evening entertainment you can visit the theatre and enjoy the musical, Starlight Express, which has been running in the town since 1988.

Travelling information

- From the A40 motorway, take the Bochum-Zentrum exit and enter Hernerstraße
- Continue to the centre of Bochum
- After a few hundred metres, you will pass the mining museum (Bergbaumuseum) on the left-hand side
- After the museum, at the crossroads, keep to the left and take the Nordring
- You will find the hotel right in front of you, at the Hernerstraße/Nordring junction
