  Very friendly staff, excellent location, good facilities - We had a family room on the 3rd floor, with views on 2 sides to The Mosel River and vineyards. Could watch the boats going up and down all day! Fantastic location, within walking distance of many cafes and restaurants. Took us 30mins to drive to Frankfurt Hahn Airport.

  The large room with sitting area overlooking the pedestrian area was ideal for our group of four people to relax with a glass of the local wine after a day's sightseeing. - The staff was very friendly.   This was our second visit. The quality of the whole hotel is outstanding. The style of food is very Germanic but executed to a very good standard. If it were changed to be a little more interesting it would lift this hotel into the superclass. The comfort room in which we stayed and especially the bathroom are better than hotels we have stayed in ... what people say » costing twice as much. Herr Nelius is a delight to talk to, do not miss one of his cellar tours and wine tasting and of course buy some of his wine! - Very good location in the middle of the Kues side of Bernkastel- Kues; nice restaurant in premises (with own wine production), reasonably priced

  The hotel was better than most would be in England for the price we paid. Even though the Euro was down to parity with the English pound it was still good value for money. In some ways we're a bit reluctant to recommend the fairy tale town of Bernkastel it would spoil it if thousands of visitors descended on it .
