If you don't mind going without the typical hotel cleaning, conscierge or dining services, this offers lots of bright and airy space in a fabulous location at half the price of any of the nearby hotels.

It would have been nice to have a TV in the bedroom and I think they should spend a bit more to get fluffier towels.

As promised by other reviewers Leonard is very friendly and extremely helpful for getting your bearings. The apartment is excellent for the price; it was sunny all weekend on our stay so the balcony was a real boon. It is centrally located yet very quiet indeed for a city apartment even with the windows open.

Couldn't get the TV to work but I'm sure if we'd been really bothered we could have called Leonard and he would have showed us how. The only thing we would wish for is some broadband access.

We could have done with a fourth bed. The lift was broken on the fourth day which meant a walk up 6 flights of stairs for 2 days.

The apartment was close to transport and central to where we needed to be. it was warm to come home to after some cold days out and we found it to be comfortable and clean.

The appartment is large, it has an excellent location, and is very quiet at the same time. Good bed, very kind an cooperative staff.

The curtains in the bedroom are flimsy; they did not give the privacy we wanted, and the morning light woke us up too early. Then the kitchen; yes it has a dishwasher, a washing machine and a microwave, but the kitchen unit and stove are really very basic. Furthermore the poor carpeting and curtains give the entire appartment the acoustics of a bathroom.

The kitchen was not well equipped it was too poor and insufficient. The TV was very small and very few programs.

The bed was not straight, had the feeling I was falling out, and the pillows were quite hard. Did not sleep very well...There should have been some curtains, very light in the bedroom, and not very cosy!

The location is excellent just a short walk from Friedrichstrasse (shopping) and Restaurants (Gendarmenmarkt). Also museums and underground stations in walking distance.

The owner of the hotel, although very friendly and helpful, owns 5 apartments in the same house and we unfortunately received the one with the least comfort. Poor furniture and decorations in an otherwise spacious apartment. Clean but otherwise empty and uninviting. Mosiquitos!!
