I had to find a hotel urgently and I found this one, so I paid less money with the "last minute deal" and I loved the hotel! It was extremely clean and tidy in my room, all the furnitures were still looking new, and as a woman I loved having so many mirrors in the room :) The breakfast was also great. The location is very good, has tram stops directly in front of the hotel, very convenient! Plus, hotel is located in a "Hof" so it is very silent, great if you wanna sleep comfortably after a long.
all reviews » Friendly and helpful staff, very quiet location, which came as a surprise, given the busy street address (but it is in the 2nd backyard - no noise ets through to there). Good and diverse breakfast. All in all highly recommended for the no-frills budget traveller. It's a lovely boutique kind of hotel. Really peaceful and comfortable, good value for money. And the breakfast was amazing. Staff brilliant and accommodating. Would go back when in Berlin again. Very quiet and clean. Free wifi and free buffet breakfast. In Germany it should not be assumed that Wifi is freely available without charge and it was good that it was available here. Very quiet area near the Berlin City center. It is not very central Berlin, but for my case it was exactly in the place I needed, so no problem. Nothing really just a weird way to enter the hotel but quaint. No elevator which wasn't a problem for me but should be kept in mind for those who might need it. No staff in the late evening but when I e mailed them they left the key for me which worked out. Arriving after 20:00 the reception is closed so you need to pick up the key at a neighboring Sauna. Had to search a bit for the correct way into the hotel. After all everything was fine. Nothing. Short blanket English is not well spoken But manageable. Be sure to have clear arrival information and look for the "HOTEL" signs. Reception is in a rear courtyard and you may feel you are not headed in the right direction... but you are. (No need to ring any bell at the street door, just go in and back to the second courtyard.). I really didn't like the fact they don't accept accept credit cards but only cash. I didn't like that after i paid for my room, I booked for 15 days and i paid the sixth day, they changed my room, putting me in smaller one without saying the reason. I didn't like that somentimes they didn't clean the room. I didn't like the customer support.
