Fantastic home cooking, extremely friendly staff. Willing to communicate and help in any way, despite the language barrier. I really need to learn to speak French!. 2km from the airport and goof price. Better to sleep the night at the airport than take an expensive taxi to Marseille. Taxi to the hotel was 7 EUR at 1.am.

Excellent breakfast and we enjoyed an evening meal too. Food was fresh, well prepared and good value for money.Generally a satisfactory experience. nice bathroom, nice tv. good if arriving on a late flight..close to the airport...and cheap!. However, we needed to go at 5 in the morning so no free shuttle service for us. The taxi drivers was awfull. Charged us 20 ero for the very short road to the airport!!!!! (Taxi cab reservated at 5 at 2nd of May). room quite small . Another two pillows would have been useful. The hotel is isolated in relation to Marselle. Daily airport bus to Marselle was 8.50 Euro each person each way.There is a six ticket package you can buy at the kiosk, check how many journeys you intend to make and purchase tickets accordingly. The staff at the kiosk are not helpful read the informa There is nowhere to walk to from the hotel. You have to stay in the hotel or taxi/drive everywhere. Walls too thin!. The free shuttle to the Airport only runs twice a day (when thy change shifts in the hotel). Walking to the Airport is possible and takes 15 Minutes but you have to walk on motorway interchangers for 500m - quite dangerous! Taxis are incredibly expensive. If you have a car, I would recommend it as a cheap hotel, If you want to use shuttle busses - take a different hotel.Strange smell in corridor and rooms, very near main road, fellow guests noisy (thin walls). beds far too hard!!!. Very difficult to find and the google link given on the balladins page was not useful - only confusing. proper dirsctions from the airport should be given. the room are not equipped with hair dryer,hot kettle etc.Room was extremely small with a very strong smell of stale nicotinewhich clung to clothing.The hours that the shuttle to the airport was available were not clearly stated.Hotel is in the middle of nowhere. We were refused food at 2pm.....andnowhere else to go to eat. Beds were like camp beds. Air con notefficient.We came very late and was told that the hotel did have free transit from the airport. But the hotel did not have the same solution as the other hotel in the airport area, which had a special phone to call for transit help (very bad). So we had to walk, which I don't recommend any one to do.. you have to walk against the trafic.We felt the advice regarding the shuttle to the airport was most misleading especially as the exhorbitant cost was not pre-advised (20 euro for a 6 minute journey). There are two Hotel Balladins and our taxi from the airport took us to the wrong one; they called a taxi to transfer us (20e) then the shuttle to the airport the following morning cost another 20 euros.
