The proprietor M. Jean who did everything his staff (who obviously adored him) did, the pretty girl at reception who also served as bartender, the two other staff who doubled as everything, waiters, porters, guides, bartenders and receptionists. The very good and generous menu, the rid service, the self-taught chef's amazing Escoffier-inspired "pièces montees" for the buffet worthy of a five star palace. Frankly, travel-stop aside between Avignon and Collioures, Le Pavillon vaut le détour!.
all reviews » Clean & comfortable well priced hotel. Very good value for money restaurant, breakfast and dinner excellent. Good location for the motorways, Agde, Beziers etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Small but comfortable rooms. Good for a stopover as not far from motorway. Good restaurant with good service. close to Villeneuve old city and retaurants, including adjacent to Canal du Midi. Beach about 15 min by car. The food was tremendous and the rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean. Swimming pool. Proximity to airport. terrace aperitif/breakfast. Nice place, clean, good food and near highway. -basic, clean hotel, similar to American chain motels -friendly staff, though some French will be helpful here (they were patient with my attempts) -decent, though slightly expensive restaurant -pool -location is not necessarily bad if you want easy access to the highway for a short stop, avoiding the hoardes at the beach in summer. A good startingpoint for exploring the region. Easy access by car to many destinations in the area. Only 20 minutes to the Rochelongue beach ( the best beach in the area) 1 hour to Carcassonne, 20 minutes to Agde,. breakfasts were nice and leisurely;. Nothing. No coffee / tea facilities in room. Small cubicle shower. Nothing. The swimming pool seemed to be left uncleaned and derelict at this time (May 2013) sadly because it's a nice pool and adjacent to all hotel facilities. Nothing. Very urban. hot in room. Bad location coordinates on letsbookhotel.com. The street is not mentioned to address, only in the map. This can cause confusions. -location is far from the coast, close to a busy road and an industrial area. -price is perhaps a bit high given these considerations. Uncomfortable beds. Very hard madrases and pillows. small room and not near the sea; staff not informed about buses to the sea so we missed visiting the sea.
