What people say

Location was excellent - directly across the road from the train station and central for walking around Troyes. Staff spoke English, were very friendly and helpful. Free internet access in the meeting room as it wasn't available in our room. Size of the room - very generous. Toilet separate to the bathroom. Breakfast was adequate and good value.
all reviews Everything, but especially the very nice and helpful staff. Troyes is lovely and the hotel is a good centre. Fantastic range of good art which ought to be better advertised. The size of the room and friendly staff.I thought the hotel was okay. It was one of the few hotel rooms thatI’ve stayed in that had a small refrigerator. I would recommend thehotel if there was no music.Good location with parking. Quiet room at the back, as requested. Good value for money.Free parking right outside hotel. Excellent restaurant 'Champagne' at Hotel. The Hotel Staff and the location. Good location. its location. location. very handy for city centre and railway station. Location, helpful staff. The location. The hotel, opposite the station is easy to find and has dedicated adjacent parking, though uncovered and not particularly secure. The bed was very very comfortable. The sound proofing between rooms, corridors and outside was also very good.It is very well placed right across from the rail station, the room was a good size and very clean.location and security. Very helpful staff. Its was central to Troyes, and still had some of the old features left.Your staff was friendly and helpful.Good location - easy walk to town centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. near to the centre. This hotel certainly requires updating and the fact we arrived at 9.30pm to find the bar and all 4 resteraunts closed was laughable. On theonly plus side the staff were good and minibar prices among the cheapesti've seen!. Troyes old town. Very noisy due to a thunderous pop group playing downstairs. Could not get to sleep till 3.30am. We were in room 107. Ground floor not working. One of the previous guests mentioned the loud music. The music startedabout 10pm and continued until approximately 4:30am. It was almostimpossible to sleep because of the thumping and hollering. The hotel has an air of faded grandeur, rather dated. The food served in the "Croc" brasserie was sub standard.no nothinh at all. could do with refurb. poor lift facilties. The sunday morning breakfast was very disorganized as you had a bus tour attending the breakfast. No bread, no coffee and not enough staff. I must add that we did not have to pay for breakfast in the end as the lady at the reception was very understanding.Oddly in our experience, no bedside tables. Not the worst of deprivations, to be sure, but a minor inconvenience. had we wanted to have bereakfast in the hotel we would have been pressed to find a table. The hotel is old and really needs refurbishment : old bathroom fixtures etc... did not work well or were broken as well as being difficult to clean.there was no hair dryer or tea and coffee facilitys in the room, the bathroom badly needed updating, a shower curtain would have been nice. the landing lights automatically turned off and when I arrived I had to use my phone light to find my door.shower in very poor condition. lift not working. No Air Con.Room not made up on first visit. The elevator from the ground floor to the reception area did not work and so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Friday and Saturday nights the disco was loud making it difficult to sleep. The Croco Bar was pretty bad and the waitrus was carried off in an ambulance. It was hot and difficult to open the windows and close the shades. The hotel parking was full by the time we arrived (Saturday evening) meaning we had to park in the street.Rooms very mixed (we had 3) not all refurbished. Hotel generally feels in great need of modernisation / refurbishment of public areas. Hotel is in red light area and my husband was propositioned while walking the dog. There was a nighclub underneath the hotel and a fight in the street!. Facilities were tatty and run down. There was no light bulb in the toilet. TV channels were limited. Very dated and run down.It was very tired with a dreadful noise outside our window which didn'tgo off till after 10.30pm and was back on by 7am. No cold water in room ( only hot) , stuff did not solve the problem ,did not change the room and no price compensation for inconvenience.
