The room was really nice and the staff were helpfull. The bar and restaurant are closed on Wednesday when we stayed, but there are other choices in the village. There is also a really nice community swimming pool in the village which was a lovely relief after walking up and down Mt Ruhn. Hotel Lastiry was a perfect combination of modern comfort and traditional basque decor. An ideal base for exploring the area both on foot and by car. Hotel staff made us very welcome.

Attention to detail in this owner managed hotel and the excellent cuisine in the restaurant and the friendly sets of the owner and their staff. Beautifull willage, excellent service, nice restaurant with good food. Small attractive hotel with cosy rooms. Very comfortable and spacious. Magnificent bathroom. Very pleasant restaurant with good local menu. Extremely friendly staff, clean and cosy atmosphere. Vegeterian catered for very well. At first, staff attitude very good and accommodation fine. Friendly and helpful. Somewhat expensive but given it was the Basque country and popular with tourists visiting the coast, perhaps understandable. Nothing. Poison 'n Pay. The quality of the restaurant food was not great and both of us suffered acute diarrhea most of the night after we dined there. They didn't care and still charged full price for the meal.
