It was well-located but quiet. The beds & pillows were exceptionally comfortable and we slept well. The staff were friendly and we were able to leave our luggage in the office whilst we spent rest of day out and about, even though we stayed only one night. Because we found breakfast expensive, we were delighted to find that you could have a 5 euro "petit faim" breakfast in the room, which suited us perfectly - coffee, pastry & juice. Sensible time checkout meant we had a relaxing breakf.
all reviews » I, rather stupidly, had booked the wrong date, however, this was not a problem for the hotel and they accommodated us in another room, with no fuss whatsoever. We found the room somewhat noisy, being able to hear everything going on in the adjacent rooms. I guess when they divided up the space for more rooms, not enough attention was paid to soundproofing. had to pay on booking shower worked very well but had no curtain. Glad I didn't bother with hotel car park as it is small and would have been difficult to manouevre with my large car. Town parking expensive but there is a 200 place free lot about 8 mins walk away, so ask when you arrive. There is no restaurant in the hotel for anything but breakfast and if you are vegetarian St Valery is certainly not vegetarian friendly!. We wish someone had warned us that the nearby public carpark turned into a huge market on the day we left which hemmed the car in for most of the day!. no late night coffee facility. No shower curtain. Cost of breakfast and parking. Parking somewhat expensive10E and very limited. We were lucky,early season, and got the last space. Better than town car park opposite,nearly as expensive,but you need a bucketfull of coins to keep it fed, Breakfast way over price at 14E and really not very good.Nothing fresh to be had,not even croisants one morning-"Ouch". Cost a lot for something pretty basic, also breakfast very expensive. no air conditioning. The noise! Our room faced the street, which is busy and noisy. Also, staff came in at 2:00 A.m to noisily clean the reception and breakfast area below us. Breakfast cost a whopping 16 euros pp!. Unfriendly staff. Very hard bed. Expensive breakfast.
