The view of the Seine is amazing (look out for the ocean going container ships which dwarf everything around them but pass by very quietly!), the thatched cottages are romantic, delightful and beautifully set out. The location is excellent, elevated enough for superb views over town and northern cliffs , pleasant stroll into town, and walk round the front of hotel to the spectacular cliffs just to the south (a stiffish climb up the hillside !). Decent sized room and fair price for the honeypot small town of Etretat. Plenty of free on site parking. Walking around the town did not suggest that there were any other hotels of comparable quality.

The owners of the Hotel were very welcoming and made you feel at home, it is a beautiful property, the house and grounds full of history and the rooms were very comfortable and homely. We loved it, it was a shame this was our only night there as we were on our way home. It is a beautiful region of France well worth exploring.
