    An outstanding choice for a bed and breakfast location in Amboise in the Loire Valley. Excellent location close to the major walking street shops and excellent restaurants as well as the chateau and Clos de Luce -the Da Vinci house,Tastefully furnished and beautifully decorated comfortable accomodations and a magnificent walled garden and swimmin... what people say » g pool. Excellent breakfast and a wonderful ambience throughout. However the most oustanding aspect of Au Charme Rabelaisien was our hostess Sylvie wh - This was a delightful B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was enormous. The bathroom was bigger than some of the hotel rooms we have stayed in, with a large bath in which to luxuriate. We also enjoyed the town. Very relaxed and with many dining options to choose from. An ideal place as a base to explore the Loire Valley and it's many Chateaus. Our host Sylvie was a delight. Extremely helpful and obliging , with a wonderful bubbly personality. Would rate this as the best B & B we h

    The house is absolutely lovely, with great attention to details. You get the sense that every thing has been planned to make you stay as pleasant as possible! The hostess, Michelle, and her staff are wonderful - they make you feel at home at once. Michelle also provided my husband and I (we were there for our honeymoon) with some excellent recomme... what people say » ndations regarding shopping and dining in Tours. Not to mention that she knocked on our door and gave us a little tray with local wine and snacks, so - Beautiful "guest house".They prefer to be called that instead of a hotel. The service is excellent, the manor is tastefully updated with original artwork both inside and in the lovely garden area. The rooms are very large and so is the bathroom. I could stretch my arms out to the sides in the shower it was so large. I would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone staying in this vibrant city.

    Our stay here was absolutely wonderful from the moment we arrived. It was such a unique experience to stay in a cave which was so comfortable and had a beautifully renovated bathroom. Our hosts Celine and Steve were so welcoming and we enjoyed a beautiful dinner in the cave restaurant and sampled delicious regional produce. Highly highly recommend! - As you arrive you wonder what on earth you have done,but when celine shows you to your room it is a definite wow. The breakfast was lovely and served in a fabulous dining room. The family have put a lot of effort into making it a nice place to come.please be aware that they do not serve food every night so it might be best to call first
