What people say
We only stayed one night here, but we wish it was more. Agnes was a
fabulous host in every way, and did all she could to make us happy and
comfortable. However the real treat was this amazing location. This
B&B is hidden away in the French country side, and is really a
completely amazing, tranquil and fulfilling experience. An 18th century
French farmhouse might not be for everyone, but it was exactly the
secret garden we were looking for. all reviews »
This is a beautiful farmhouse very near to Monet's garden and having large eclectic bedrooms.
The hospitality by Agnes the owner was exceptional as we sat drinking lemonade freshly made and beer onthe back patio. The breakfast was excellent and the local restaurant recommended for an evening meal first class.
This is one place we would love to visit agsin and stay longer. Highly recommended.
Une vie en rose is a lovely and romantic Bed and Breakfast. De room we had was big, with the bed and a place to sit on the top floor, and a big bathroom downstairs. Madame was very nice and helpfull at all times. De village is small and nearby Giverny, where you can visit Claude Monet's house and look at his beautiful garden. The Seine is near, so you van picknick there very nicely.
Our host Agnes Leger gives a warm friendly welcome to her beautiful historic country retreat. Delicious home made bread and preserves for breakfast. Imaginative and quirky design throughout which balances perfectly with the C18 buildings. A perfect location for visiting nearly beautiful Vernon and Monet's house and gardens at Giverny only a short drive away.
Agnès was an excellent host, very friendly, joyous and helpful. Large and comfortable room, clean washroom, nicely decorated. Great dinner recommendations. Excellent breakfast, including specialty bread that she cooked especially for us during the night. Highly recommended.
The charming, simple, warm hospitality, the beautiful renovated farm house, the tastefully decorated guest space, the delicious home baked goods for breakfast, the location right down the road from Giverny, the proximity to lovely walks along the river.
Agnes made us feel really at home, loved the wacky decor and fascinating stories. Were given aperitifs every evening before going out and joined her dinner party on coming back late one evening. Will def go back one day .
The owner, Agnes Leger, was really interesting and we had a wonderful time sharing wine with her in the early evening. She also helped us with directions and suggestions for dinner.
The rooms were artistically decorated.
Eclectic bed and breakfast in converted farmhouse. Interesting art and decorations, many with wild animal motif. Homemade bread for breakfast was wonderful. Modern fixtures in spacious tiled bathroom.
That we couldn't stay longer.
No real complaints thst we can think of.
We couldn't use the bikes, while we had hoped to make a trip by bike.
the hot water in our room did not work, even though it worked elsewhere in the B&B.
Wireless range very limited.
