I had booked the wrong night,. but the gentleman was happy to change the night for the night prior with no extra charge, he was really helpful. Bathrooms are great, rooms clean, towels big and fluffy. Right on the railway track but couldn't hear a thing. I would recommend anyone to stay here, it was close to Mont St Michel and quiet, away from the crowds, Pretty town and safe to wander about the town after dark.
all reviews » The room was great - very spacious with a separate area for the children's beds. Nice bathroom accessories and even tea/coffee making facilities in room (unusual in France!). The staff were helpful and friendly. There was a shuttle bus from almost outside the hotel directly to Mont St Michel, so could leave the car in the hotel car park. We had an excellent breakfast which was free for the children. Even though Hotel Ariane is close to the train line, the double glazing and complete blackout blinds make the surrounds imperceptible. We stayed in the one luxury room, and it was worth it - the bathroom was exceptionally well appointed. Good location for mont st Michael and surrounding areas. Good sized and clean rooms. Nice breakfast. Great cognac in bar! Staff friendly. Loved the style that the hotel is trying to achieve. Very modern and clean. The bath was great!. The Rooms are spacious and clean. Quiet neighborhood, even with the train station right next to the hotel (but we were on the good side of it to be honest). Very clean, even if looking a bit dated. But the best thing is its proximity of the Mont Saint Michel. The hotel was very nice with a beautiful garden. We really enjoyed the bar as well. The breakfast was very nice as well. Perfect for an overnight stop. Family suite was great for a family travelling with 2 teen boys. clean, central location. Bit hot in the room but that was because of the lovely summer weather. Bath a little small and no shower. Early morning when other people were leaving, there were lots of door slamming. Think that was the way the door design to ensure the door close but many loud bangs in the morning wasn't the great way to start of the day. Rooms had no A/C which made for a uncomfortable night. Rooms did not have shower stalls, but bathtubs with made showering difficult. Could not find hotel as the name on the front is the old one and it looks like 2 different buildings. The new name in large metal silver letters on the gates does not work as one tends not to read vertically! Had to park in street outside although it proved safe. Nice town. Proximity of the train... Way too close. Breakfast isn't cheap by any mean, and not at all exceptional, especially since it's closing at 10 in the morning. I really didn't like the fact that they charge 6 euro for their parking per day. cold atmosphere, lifeless.
