  Excellent English speaking staff and the hotel is very centrally located. As is typical of Parisian hotels in this category, the rooms are small and the breakfasts are overpriced. Don't despair, some of the best bakeries in Paris are all within a two block radius of the hotel and McDonald, if you can handle it, is right next door. The value for quality is excellent in a city where you often have to pay top price for mediocre accomodations and service. My room this time (302) was very quiet and facing the courtyard. Free - Hotel du Home Moderne is an excellent value, clean and comfortable with modern amenities. We were particularly impressed with the staff. Guillume and Jennifer, who manned the front desk, were outstanding. They always went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. At the buffet breakfast, Lore managed the breakfast room with efficiency and good humor. We also enjoyed the non-touristy neighborhood, which has lots of little shops and cafes and is conveniently located near transportation.
