Some of the reviews on this hotel are very harsh, we were worried before we arrived but were pleasantly surprised! The staff were friendly and helpful, even when there was a language barrier they did their best to help us understand. Evening staff helped make a restaurant booking for me because I speak very little French. The room was clean and tidy and the hotel was handy to two metro stations and various bars and cafes. I recomend that place. The location, staff was friendly and spoke English, but they never asked what did you think of your stay that's why I am writing this review. Location. Comfortable bed. The beds were comfortable. Paris. The mirror in the bathroom was hanging off it's stand and looked as though it could fall at any second, a small repair was necessary to fix this. The hot water in the shower doesn't last very long. There seemed to be several bars on the street below with people in the streets until well after 2 am making it a very loud hotel. If you have problems walking up stairs then it is worthwhile to know that there is no elevator, just a windy spiral staircase. The walls were really thin, just like wooden walls, there was a lot of sounds from the other rooms, corridor and the outside, but if you don't care noise too much it is really good. You are being so tired because of visiting city, mostly you are sleeping easily even if there is noise. :). It was bit noisy as walls are very thin and it was bit too hot in the room. A few things, I stayed there a year ago, and I could see things going a bit downhill for them to say, they advertise fridge, and there wasn't any, the shower was extra tinny, that you couldn't even reach something on the ground, without hitting your head, and there was plenty of space in the room , It just very badly designed. The shower had also plenty of mold, now there is only two cleaners for the whole hotel and fully booked at €120 per night, I would expect better, that that. (Rm13) No kettle in room. Fridge/bar not working. Damage to wall above bed. Coathook broken. Curtain fixings loose. Coffee at breakfast -not enough and poor quality. Staff was not very helpful. Tried to overcharge us over the rate agreed with letsbookhotel.com. cold water in bathroom 6 floor without elevator. The staff didn't speak english, couldn't understand a word we said. We asked for toilet paper we got towels! Also a female member of staff was quite pleasant to our french friend on arrival, yet when we returned later alone very rude.I Would not recommend this hotel to people who do not speak french.
