I have aspired to stay in this hotel since I first visited Paris as a student and could not afford it...I Was not DISSAPOINTED,as follows... Lovely staff. Child Friendly. Excellent Location. Honesty Bar and 24 hour service (we did not use it but nice to know it's there). Calm atmosphere... Oasis in the middle of mad Paris ! Garden Suite... (Too hot to use during our visit but nice to know it was there).. 4* accolade but bordering on 5* Chess in the lounge for the kids (mine are 7 and 11) ... go.
all reviews » The staff was uniformly helpful, flexible, friendly and polite. The location is perfect for those who like to wander the Left Bank. The room was a "Paris size", but that is Paris, No? The room was very quiet even though overlooking the street. Very comfortable bed. Lot's of good, non-tourist dining available within a true 5 minute stroll, including a very nice Jaques Cagna restaurant right across the street and 5 minutes from a Grom gelateria. You can spend more but you really won't get more. The location was excellent and the room extremely comfortable spotless and very quiet. We arrived early in the morning after a flight from Australia (23 hours) and although our room wasn't available the staff were very helpful and directed us to the spa area to shower and refresh before taking off to explore Paris. The breakfast was the best we had on our month of travel and there were great restaurants for dinner close by. We stayed in a Terrace Suite and had a truly wonderful impression of a countryside vacation while still being in the center of the city. The sauna in the spa area completed the picture. The staff is very helpful and attentive and you can reach all major sightseeing points by foot. Will definitely come back. The location can't be beat. Close to the Seine and easy walking distance to so much, but tucked away on a quiet side street. The staff was great, multi-lingual, and very helpful with reservations and advice. They even helped us get my wife's dress dry cleaned in a few hours for an important engagement. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Had A/C which was needed at night, as it was quite hot. Hotel staff was gracious. We will stay there again. I like everything there! It's a small great hotel with lovely atmosphere! A bit pricey by general standards, including the charges for the breakfast. A place for middle aged to older travelers as opposed to young professionals, though not a knock on the hotel at all, just their targeted demographic. Oddly or interestingly, one of the desk persons is a dj in his spare time. Smallish rooms which really some need updating. Staff is nice but not as attentive as you would expect for the $$. This was the second time we stayed here and outside of the location we weren't impressed this time. Free wi fi a plus but 30e for breakfast is off the charts. The fact that it was provided a different room than the one requested with a month before. At least the receptionists excused for their mistake and we were not quite upset because we didn't spent to much time in the room. A little noisy from other rooms. Expensive breakfast!. The room was too dark. We needed a torch to see in wardrobes and drawers. With all lights on day or night it was almost impossible to read. Depressing. Breakfast could be improved. the music in the dining room at breakfast is irrelevant and does not relate to the atmosphere. We were not given the room we had booked and had confirmed. We had a suite, largest room, very small and very dark. The room is too small and not worthy the pricy rate !! The picture on the website is a bit misleading , as the courtyard garden view is only for people stay at that room can enjoy it!! As on the 3rd day, our friend joined and we request the extrat bed.. The house keeping added only mattress .. No bed sheet or pillowcase and blanket !! Also no extra towel !! The toilet has no air condition ... Overall .. Except good location.. Not much to let me go back to stay there again!!.
