Rooms at Hôtel Recamier are furnished with luxury fabrics and feature large beds with a canopy. Each has an iPod docking station and some have views of the square and Saint Sulpice. Breakfast is served in the pastel-coloured lounge or in the comfort of guest rooms. On warm days, guests can dine on the terrace or relax under the lanterns in the evening. Location, quiet neighborhood, comfortable bed, and the closet with shelves was great. Small elevator for folding wheelchair user. Reception very helpful and friendly, loved the view of the cathedral from my room.A historic old French hotel (unfortunately will be modernized starting this Oct.) with kind French staff who made it our home away from home. In their service and help the staff went way beyond normal. Our train did not depart until late night and they invited us to keep our luggage in the cute sitting room while we enjoyed another day in Paris. Good location of this hotel near Luxemboug Park.

The breakfast room is rather gloomy and could do with a complete refurbishment, perhaps to be included in the work to be carried out. Ther price had gone up steeply since our last visit. the walls are very thin. Not a great value for the money (even by Paris standards) - same goes for the breakfast.The rooms badly need refurbishing. Nothing has been changed since I stayed there 20 years ago. No shower/bathroom. No hot water; Very noisy when people are coming and going at night; Noise from doors closing may wake lite sleepers; Walls are thin. Perhaps these problems had more to do with the insensitivity of the guests staying there than the hotel itself. bathrooms could do with an update. The quality of the room was quite poor. It was definitely not worth 75 euros for the night; maybe 35 euros. The hotel was hard to find as it does not have it's name prominently displayed in the front. The evening receptionist was unfriendly and unhelpful. The room was very small and bare. It definitely was not worth the 145€ per night.
